Instruction Languages
Most PhD programs are available in both English and Chinese. Applicants can contact potential supervisors to confirm the language of instruction.
Time of Application
There are two intakes each year: March and September. For the March intake, applications are open from October 15 to December 15 of the previous year. For the September intake, applications are accepted from March 1st to June 15.
Eligibility
- Non-Chinese citizenship, good health, and a clean criminal record.
- Compliance with laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China and Zhengzhou University.
- Strong academic background and potential to become a highly specialized researcher or expert.
- Not registered as a PhD student in Chinese universities at the time of application.
- Degree and age requirements:
- Doctoral program applicants should have an excellent academic record in a master’s program or higher (for Pakistani applicants, a master’s of 18 years) and be under 40 years old.
- Language proficiency requirements:
- For Chinese-taught doctoral programs, HSK 5 with a score of 210.
- For English-taught doctoral programs, IELTS 6.5 or higher for applicants from non-English speaking countries.
